Nature At SNES

The Shanti Niketan English School campus is nestled in the lap of nature. It is not unusual for peacocks to come strutting outside the classroom or squirrels to playfully run up and down the verdant trees. A lot of language, EVS and maths classes are conducted the open areas - sometimes under a tree, sometimes under a green canopy. The whole curriculum has been designed to integrate the local flora, fauna and culture so that students can connect the world outside to what they learn at school.

Here are some pictures of Nature At SNES:

Birds of various types flock to the lawns and gardens of SNES throughout the year.....

Squirrels with their tireless running and curious glances are a sight to behold!....

The regal walk of peacocks is a study in grace....

We carry our small stools to the open area under the tree for poetry and literature classes....

Sometimes, we sit under the green roof. The class is open from all sides and it is a lot of fun sitting amidst nature and studying language or science....
